Radio Stations

There are quite a few local radio stations, with just about every type of music represented and a few local talk shows.
Praise 87.9 FM
Christian radio station.

Gospel 88.7 FM
Traditional gospel music.

Radio Cayman 89.9 FM
News, current affairs and a mixed music format. BBC World News comes on at 6am, 6.25pm (after the local news) and at 10pm daily. The daily weather report is aired at 7.20am and 6.40pm. The local sports report is aired at 7.25am and 6.41pm daily and BBC Sports Roundup is aired daily at 6.45pm. Radio Cayman is also available in the Sister Islands on 93.9 FM.

Contemporary Christian.

ICCI 101.1 FM
International College of the Cayman Island’s radio station who’s mandate is to train future broadcasting professionals.

Rooster 101.9 FM
Country music. This station is also available in the Sister Islands.

103.1 Love FM
Gospel music.

HOT 104.1 FM
Caribbean  music.

Breeze 105.3 FM
Adult contemporary, also available in the Sister Islands on 91.9 FM.

106.1 KISS FM
Adult contemporary.

X107.1 FM
International Top 40 hits.

Local Newspapers & Online News
If you want to keep on top of local news you have a couple of options. There are two local daily newspapers; the Cayman Compass and iNews and there are two weekend papers; the Cayman Observer and Cayman Net News Weekender. There is also a respected online source called Cayman News Service which covers local news and offers live online commentary (www.caymannewsservice.com).


Local Television Stations
There are two free over-the-air local TV stations: Cayman 27 and Island 24 both feature a variety of international programming, mostly from the US. Cayman 27 also provides a variety of local news and entertainment shows including Daybreak, an hour-long news and entertainment programme that airs at 7am Monday-Friday. Cayman 27 News is a 30 minutes news programme covering local news, sports and weather at 6pm Monday-Friday, followed by 27 Tonight, a news and entertainment programme focusing on local events and issues.
